All Stars Commitment Ring
The All Stars Commitment Ring is a sterling silver signet ring with a circle of 9 stars raised above a black matte background. Both male and female styles are available.
The 9 stars are symbols of All Stars commitments. The ring is only awarded to teens who make commitments about 9 topics:
- Commitment about future ideals
- Commitment as a citizen
- Commitment about responding to violence provoking situations
- Commitment about drunkenness
- Commitment about drinking alcohol
- Commitment about using tobacco products
- Commitment about using inhalants
- Commitment about using illicit drugs
- Commitment about sex
Commitments are open ended -- the applicant describes in their own words their deepest commitments.
To qualify for a ring, an adult sponsor (preferably a parent) must sign the All Stars Personal Commitment Form. Adult sponsors agree that the commitments are appropriate and healthy and that they are willing to help and support the teen in his or her quest to live up to these commitments.
Rings are awarded as part of the Middle School Program or the Community Program.
